Mechanical Fuel Pump

Diaphram material porous	Diaphram material damaged by solvent substance in fuel	Replace diaphram
Excessive pump stroke causing overstraing of diaphram	Pump incorrectly installed , gasket too thin	Install correctly Check stroke of pushrod, check diaphram
Pump pressure too low	Pump incorrectly installed , gasket too thick Spring pressure too low	Install correctly,check pump stroke Replace spring or stretch individual coils apart
